Albert Innes are currently working on the Electrical Installation expansion at British Library in Boston Spa.
Their existing 44-acre Boston Spa campus is home to over three-quarters of their collection of over 170 million items and their running out of space!

To address this they are constructing a new state-of-the-art storage facility  –  and also using this opportunity to significantly reduce their environmental impact.

The Electrical Installation comprises of the mains distribution system and cable containment for Submains, Small Power, Mechanical supplies and the LED Lighting installation.

The development also includes:
Construction of a new generation high-density, low-energy, airtight, automated storage building with 225 linear km storage capacity
infrastructure and fabric upgrades to our seven-storey Urquhart Building, maintaining suitable storage capacity for 120km of our collections long into the future
removal of outdated and environmentally inefficient buildings
landscaping of the surrounding site, making the most of the natural environment and enhancing local biodiversity
a new, publicly accessible viewing gallery and spaces for learning.

We are currently working on a new build Aldi store on Commercial Street, Brighouse as part of our continued framework agreement with Aldi for 2025.

This is a new design 'Future Store' with open ceilings which incorporate a complete containment system throughout.  Comprising of Galvanised Tray in the sales area and wire mesh basket in the warehouse and amenities areas.

This Electrical installation comprises of a New Mains Distribution system via a Kane Panel as well as Sub Mains supplies to BMS control panels and Refrigeration Distribution panels.

We will provide a full Electrical installation package throughout, including Sales floor, LED Lighting Track, Self Checkouts, Three Phase Till supplies, External Carpark lighting, Fire Alarm system and HVAC supplies to Air Source Heat Pumps.

As part of our mission to support local charities and good causes Albert Innes have supported fundraisers for the following over the last 12 months:

• Kit Sponsorship for Drighlington Juniors U11’s recent Holland Tour.  Which included a stadium tour to Feyenoord stadium, a couple of matches against Dutch opposition and other trips in between, I’m sure they had a fantastic time! 

• Donation to - Martin House Children's Hospice New Children's Wing.  The new children's wing will transform the level of care and comfort provided for local children, young people and their families.  The custom -designed family spaces, art room and playroom set the scene for precious memories and moments of joy that families can cherish forever.  For more details or to get involved see:  THE BUILD - Martin House THE BUILD - Martin House

• Donation to Otley Sailing Club – they work with specialist schools in the Leeds and Bradford area, to enable pupils to achieve their full potential, through the joys and challenges of sailing. KIRKLEES POLICE DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS

​​​Kirklees Police District Headquarters
Albert Innes is currently working on the Electrical Installation at Kirklees Police District Headquarters in Dewsbury.
The Electrical Installation comprises of the mains distribution system and cable containment for Submains, Small Power, Fire Alarm, Data, Mechanical supplies and the LED Lighting installation.
The site is located on Halifax Road at the site of the former Dewsbury College and delivers approximately 10,000㎡of accommodation including a new custody suite, property store, atrium, lockers, gym, public front of house, and all associated ancillary areas.
The new construction includes the existing 1880s Oldroyd building, restoring the structure to form a key part of the site that houses most of the key flexible office space for the new headquarters. A new multi-storey car park and separate surface parking is also under construction.
